Our twins are seven months old now, and I feel like it's finally safe to say, we have found a little groove. Well in some areas. For the past three months, Keenan traveled non-stop for work, so I truly know what I can't live without for the twins, and felt like it was the perfect time to share.

The obvious -- TONS of onesies and bottles. There are no words for how fast you run through these two items with twins. I can't say this enough... ZIP-UP ONESIES!! I don't know the evil person who created the snap onesies, but zipper onesies are necessary when you have two screaming babies for sure. Every minute counts.

TWIN Z PILLOW

At home, my number one go-to item is the Twin Z Pillow! When the twins first came home, this pillow helped with tandem breastfeeding so much. It gave me great support while nursing the girls. Now that the twins are a little older they kind of live on this pillow throughout the day. The way it's made allows for many uses and positions to place the girls on the pillow.

*This item took a while for us to receive, so I recommend ordering way in advance.*

SNUGGLE ME ORGANIC

We love the Snuggle Me pillows. Our girls spent over a month in NICU and when we got home, the Snuggle Me provided a similar setup to what the girls were used to at the hospital. It saved us tons of time not having to roll and fold blankets to recreate their NICU beds. These are also great because they're pretty compact and you can use them anywhere. When we take the girls to their grandparents, the carrying case that they come in makes for really easy transport.

TRANSPORTATION

We have four children total, and three of them need to be in a stroller when we're out and about. We have a heavy-duty stroller, and we also have a lightweight stroller that's quick and easy to use. I recommend having both.

Our heavy-duty stroller is the Joovy Big Caboose, and we added on the third seat for our toddler.

PROS: It's a great stroller that's super sturdy and easy to maneuver considering its size.

CONS: It doesn't fit in the trunk of our SUV so we have it laying across the center aisle and it's not easy getting it in and out of the car.

For our lightweight option, we have a Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Double Universal Double Stroller.

PROS: Super lightweight, quick, and easy to get in and out of the car.

CONS: Not a con, but this stroller is more for running errands. I wouldn't recommend this stroller for long outings that will require a lot of walking.

It may surprise you that I only listed four items for must-haves. The truth is what I've learned most in raising the twins is it's not the gadgets, it's you. It's making sure you have a village to help out. It's making sure that you have whatever you need to keep a clear head. The most useful tool is creating an environment where you’ll have the clarity and patience to nurture your little ones.

It's still hard for us, but we're getting the hang of it each day. I hope this post serves as a reminder to relax for any expecting twin moms who may be reading this post. You don't need "double of everything," and your peace won't come from gadgets, it's from within. So take care of YOU!
